Otherwise, help us out and delete your post. If you have legit and specific examples, please list them as well as what the problem caused is, as well as how you resolved them or are working around them. This isn't a Mac vs PC thread, though I knew it'd turn that way - it always does. Windows 10, with a fresh install, has been the best OS I've ever used (I use both Windows since 3.11 and Mac since whatever the OS was about 15 years ago, though I don't use the Mac for music outside a few experiments, only office work). Some DAWs may work better on Windows, though if you use Logic, you may not want to switch. No built-in ability to plug in an iOS device into Windows and route hardware over the lightning cable (MIDI can be possible)Īnd one or two I had in mind but have since forgotten :-) No built-in bluetooth keyboard functionality in the OS for no apparent reason Latency demons on some systems (Mac is monolithic and walled off so doesn't generally run into this) Potential issues if you have > 10 MIDI device drivers installed No aggregate devices - have to use ASIO4ALL ![]() ![]() There's a few things that aren't so easy on Windows that seem like stupid things, such as: but that's out at the far margins of experience where the Mac wins. You are more likely to not have any problems producing music on an Apple than Windows, from what I've been able to tell. Windows has it's quirks, just as a Mac has.
